and opened in 1962.

the late entertainer Danny Thomas founded St. Jude Children’s ResearchHospitalin 1962 he insisted that no child be
refused treatment based on an inability to pay. Since then, more than 17,000
children from across the United Statesand 60 foreign countries have been
treated.
